“Rebuild Stronger After the Flood” In late 2025, a massive flood swept through southern Thailand — including the city of Hat Yai and surrounding communities. Heavy rains and overflowing rivers caused severe damage to homes, local businesses, and community facilities. Among the hardest hit were local Muay Thai gyms: many training halls were flooded, floors and walls damaged, drainage and electrical systems compromised, and essential equipment destroyed or ruined by water. For many of these gyms, this wasn’t just a place for workouts — it was a safe haven and a second home for youth, aspiring fighters, and members of the local community. Young boxers lost their training space; coaches lost their livelihood; and entire communities lost a central gathering place for discipline, growth, and camaraderie.
